8th Grade Student Work

These doors were created as a warm-up lesson on how to create different textures using
cardboard.

Mark Langan, textured cardboard

Mark Langan's textured relief sculptures are amazing.  He goes beyond
using the corrugated sections of carboard and creates wonderful surfaces.
There is no need to paint his sculptures because the beauty of the textured
surfaces are so varied and interesting.

and you have to put it together like a puzzle.

He is involved in the Italian graffiti scene.  This sculpture
is made out of cardboard, but he also uses PVC plastic.
Check out his website...his work is so expressive.

GUITARS!!!

Kids love making guitars out of cardboard.  There are always 1 or 2 students each semester that decide to make a guitar for their project.  Some of them are showcased here.

This creative house was first designed in Google's software

Ana Serrano, Cartoonlandia

Cardboard is a perfect material for artists.  It is versatile, accessible and the cost is low. There are so many creative things you can do with it.  I've always had my eye on Ana Serrano's work, Cartoonlandia, and if you want to check out her other work, go see her website and blog.
